CLASSES OFFERED:
Tiny Tots (Mom & Me) (1-3):
Ballet/Tap/Tumble is a one hour class that meets once per week. During Ballet the dancers will learn the basic ballet
feet and arm positions, and the first few basic ballet skills and terminology with the steps they are learning. They will
also participate in coordination and rhythm activities with tap as they learn the first basic tap skills. Then finally they
will be taught some basic tumbling. We do all of this using fun music and story songs. Each class performs at least 2 dances
in the spring recital.
Mini (4-5):
Ballet/Tap/Jazz is a one hour class that meets once per week. During Ballet the dancers will learn the basic ballet feet
and arm positions, and the first few basic ballet skills and terminology with the steps they are learning. They will also
participate in coordination and rhythm activities with tap as they learn the first basic tap skills. Then finally they will
be taught some basic Jazz steps & Routine. We do all of this using fun music and story songs. Each class performs 3 dances
in the spring recital (one tap, one ballet, and one Jazz routine).
Petite (6-7):
Ballet/Tap/Jazz is a one hour class that meets once per week. During which they will take ballet in which the dancers
will learn proper feet and arm positions as well as additional basic ballet skills. They will practice these skills across
the floor and in partners while using fun story music. Then in tap, they will practice the first basic tap skills and add
to those basics with a second level of skills. Then during Jazz, they will work on rhythm and coordination activities while
learning the basic Jazz steps and skills. Each class performs 3 dances in the spring recital (one tap, one ballet, and one
jazz routine).
Juniors (8-9):
Ballet/Tap/Jazz-Musical Theater is an hour and a half class that meets once per week. During jazz time, they learn proper
stretching techniques and begin working on jazz skills such as turns and flexibility skills. They also explore very basic
hip hop skills and traditional jazz techniques using fun, upbeat music (High School Musical music is a favorite at this age!!).
Their ballet time introduces them to ballet barre exercises, and they continue to work on the basic ballet skills. They
use their tap time to work on basic tap skills, and they add traveling steps. They also continue to work on rhythm and coordination
activities while they practice putting tap skills together in different combinations. They Junior ballet/tap/jazz classes
perform 3 dances in the spring recital (one tap, one ballet, and one jazz routine).
Teen (10-13):
Lyrical-Modern/Tap/Jazz-Musical Theater class that meets once per week. During tap the dancers will work on tap skills,
and use these tap skills in combinations and traveling across the floor. They also work on patterns and rhythms using the
different parts of their feet. During jazz the dancers first work on flexibility and stretching techniques that will be beneficial
not just in dance, but in many other activities as well. They also learn and practice different turns and prepare for spins,
as well as work on basic jazz techniques. Their ballet time continues instruction at the ballet barre and with their ballet
skills. The Intermediate Ballet/Tap/Jazz class performs 3 dances in the spring recital (one ballet, one tap, and one jazz
routine).
Senior (14-19):
lyrical-Modern/Tap/Jazz-Musical Theater class that meets once per week. The dancers during tap will work on tap skills,
and use these tap skills in combinations and traveling across the floor. They also work will on patterns and rhythms using
the different parts of their feet. During jazz the dancers first work on flexibility and stretching techniques that will
be beneficial not just in dance, but in many other activities as well. They also learn and practice different turns and spins,
as well as work on advanced jazz techniques. Their ballet time continues instruction at the ballet barre and with their ballet
skills. The Senior Ballet/Tap/Jazz class performs 3 dances in the spring recital (one ballet, one tap, and one jazz routine).
Tumbling: (Boys & Girls Ages 4 & Up)
This is for those who need to learn to tumble for cheerleading, dance martial arts, or just for fun. We have classes
for the beginner to advanced tumbling skills. We can help you learn, refine, and become a more confident tumbler. Students
will meet each week for a 60 minute class. In this class students will focus on their efforts on tumbling drills and skills
via our equipment which includes mats, trampolines, and various training ads including cheese mats and skill cushions. The
tumbling Classes will showcase their talents at the spring recital.
Beginners level students will concentrate on learning and strengthening basic tumbling skills such as rolls, cartwheels,
handstands, round-offs, and bridges. These skills will develop the strength, coordination, as well as basic body positions
and awareness necessary to do more advanced skills.
Intermediate level students will focus on building upon the fundamentals of the beginner level to learn more difficult
tricks such as walkovers and front & back handsprings.
Advanced students will learn to connect their tumbling skills ask well as learning even more advanced skills such as tucks,
arials, and etc.
HipHop: (5 & up)
Hip-Hop is an 1/2 hour class that meets once per week. In this class the students will take part in learning basic hip-hop
technique. The Hip-Hop class performs a Hip-Hop routine in the spring recital.
Pointe (9 & Up): Pointe class may be taken by any student that can pass our physical and strength test. Students
readiness for pointe work is determined by each students strength and physical development, and not by their age. The instructor
will advise parents when a student have the necessary strength and maturity to go on pointe. Pointe class may be taken only
with the permission of the instructor. Pointe class is an 1 hour class and meets once per week.
Adults 20 & Up:
Adult Class is an 1 hour class that meets once per week. In this class we will work on a Tap and a Ballet or Jazz routine
to perform in the spring recital if the class decides to do so. This will be a great way to not only have an outing for us
adults to attend but also a great exercise opportunity while having fun and socializing.
